Senior Portraits

I was so happy to be in on the fun today during one of Jefra’s shoots. She let me tag along during a senior portrait session, and these are a few photos I took from the shoot.

Here’s some video from my canon 5d2. Next time I’ll make the videos longer.

You’re the best, around

Businessman karate kick

Don’t ask me how he did it; the Zach just did it. I said ‘action’ and he jumped into position like a tiger springing from his long awaited recoiled position. Truly, Zach is the best around (see video below).

This is my nephew. He’s holding up a polaroid picture his mom took with him and his grandma in the photo. That was about 7 years ago. I thought I’d put this up to document his accomplishment of 7 years of living.

Holga Photos

Single Leaf

I took this awhile back with a holga camera. It was from my first roll, and now I don’t even know where I put the camera. I’ll have to get the holga back out and try a few more frames. Anyway, I thought I’d start posting some personal work on the blog. You know, for kicks.

Here’s some more Holga work from an engagement session I did awhile back. They loved the look the film gave the photos.

These few photos were taken at the Provo City Library, which is a great place to do engagement sessions.

I bought the holga from a guy named Randy at Holgamods.com, but from his website, it says Randy was in a car accident and isn’t taking any new orders. I hope he’s ok.

If you have a link of where to get a holga that’s been modified with interior flocking, link me.

My twin?

daniel and rupert

I sent Jefra one of my favorite songs yesterday by Rupert Holmes:

She said I had an uncanny resemblance to Rupert Holmes. I took that as a compliment, because Rupert Holmes is one of the greatest artists of his time (well, in the category of all those that can pull off the sweater vest on stage). He also sang the pina colada song; yeah, that guy.

Is there a resemblance? You’ll have be the judge.

For extra credit, check out the guy playing the guitar in the video. If I could just be that guy for a day.
